- 19th century: The use of latex in cultural and industrial industries in Europe increased. This material was used as a flexible and adhesive material in producing medical supplies, cosmetics, and bedding items.
- 20th century: With the rise of the latex industry, the extraction and production of this material became a large-scale industry. New technologies for extracting and refining latex were developed, and its use expanded in various industries such as the automotive industry, sports equipment, and household goods.
- 21st century: Due to the benefits of latex, the use of this material continues in various industries. With technological advancements, more efficient processes for extracting and refining latex have been developed by the industry. Additionally, due to the emphasis on environmental protection and focus on natural materials, the use of latex as a substitute for synthetic materials has gained attention.
- Additionally, in recent years, further research has been conducted in the field of latex. These studies aim to improve the properties of latex, increase its resistance and flexibility, reduce costs, and optimize production processes.
As a result, the history of latex shows that this natural material has been used since ancient times and, with industrial progress and research advancements, its applications and efficiency in various industries have improved. Furthermore, the use of latex as a substitute for synthetic materials in line with environmental protection and the use of natural materials is also on the rise.
